Join Global Brigades Canada for our national virtual student learning conference this fall. Be a part of over 150 national youth who come together to learn more about community development in Canada, the work of Global Brigades and how to be a global citizen in today’s world. Speakers include United Nations Chief of Youth and Livelihoods, Executive Director from the International Institute of Child Rights and Development, Infrastructure Canada’s Senior Inclusion Analyst Specialist speaking about Anti-Racism, Equity and Inclusion, Director of the Communities Building Youth Futures Project from the Tamarack Institute, Director of Engagement from the Canadian Community Economic Development Network and Strategic Partner from the Assiniboine Credit Union speaking about Value Based Investments and B-Corps.

With the GB Volunteer Engagement Manager we will explore GB’s Holistic Model and the United Nation Sustainable Development Goals. GB Canada’s Vice Chairwoman will speak global volunteering ethics, GB Executives will speak about where are we now post global pandemic – reinventing how we do our work, GB Canada’s Social Media & Marketing Chair will show you how to use social media for your cause, we will take a look at GB Environmental Impact Research Thesis by a York Masters of Environmental Science Candidate, the importance of Public Health, GB Leadership Panel and spend your evening watching the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals Moment 2020 Film and discussing coast to coast about how we reflect on the UN-SDGs in our community development work.
